This week is tailored specifically for solo parents travelling with one child between the ages of 5 and 12. It's more than just a Skiworld chalet holiday – we aim to provide a truly memorable skiing experience, where you can connect with like-minded skiing parents and kids, based in a cosy, home-from-home chalet.

Chalet Pere Josef 1 is Prime located in an enviably central location, 50 metres from the Alpe Express lift, close to tourist office and benefits from super easy access to all amenities in the resort. It's a trendy and comfortable chalet accommodating up to 12 people across three levels. Relax in the stylish living area with plush seating, wood-burning stove and large windows providing ample natural light. The spacious en suite rooms offer comfy beds, bedside reading lamps, USB chargers, and elegant bathrooms with marble effect tiles and walk-in showers. Recently refurbished, the chalet combines traditional and contemporary styles and includes free WiFi.

This chalet is operated exclusively by Skiworld and run by our own chalet hosts and resort teams who will help ensure your holiday runs perfectly and provide information if you need it.

The Skiing

Alpe d’Huez skiing offers a diverse array of slopes across its four sectors, with 250km of pistes, excellent off-piste runs, a glacier, and two snow parks. The higher you go, the steeper the slopes become, with gentle greens at the bottom, challenging blues and reds in the middle, and demanding blacks at the top. Most runs are above the tree line due to the high altitude, but the frequent sunny days make up for it.

Advanced skiers may find high runs closed during bad weather, but the Sarenne, the longest black piste in the Alps, offers a thrilling 17km descent from Pic Blanc. Beginners and families will enjoy Vaujany’s scenic blue and red runs, while intermediates can explore the north-facing reds on the Auris side. Experts should head to Oz for off-piste and tree runs. Snowboarders and freestyle enthusiasts can enjoy the resort’s two snow parks, boarder cross, and natural half-pipe, Le Couloir

Prime location- The chalets Pere Josef 1 & 2 are in an enviable position in the heart of the Vieille Alpe, these chalets in fact are centrally located by the tourist office and benefit from super easy access to shops, bars, restaurants and generally all amenities in the resort. Furthermore, the new Alpe Express lift is just 50 metres from the complex, providing immediate access to the varied ski area. Plus it is possible to ski back through the town to within 100 metres.
