Located in the Oisans region of the French Alps, Les Deux Alpes is one of the highest and most vertically extensive ski resorts in Europe, with skiing ranging from 1,300 metres up to 3,600 metres on the glacier. The resort offers more than 220 km of pistes, with a unique top-to-bottom vertical drop of 2,300 metres, allowing uninterrupted descents from the glacier to the valley. What makes Les Deux Alpes particularly distinctive is its sector-based layout, where the ski area is divided into clearly defined zones, each offering a different type of terrain, atmosphere and skiing experience. From high-altitude glacier skiing to beginner-friendly slopes near the resort, the domain is structured to suit all levels. Alongside its high-altitude glacier skiing and long vertical descents, Les Deux Alpes offers a variety of accommodation options, including ski chalets, well suited to groups looking to stay close to the lifts and main ski areas.

Les Deux Alpes is structured as a vertical ski domain divided into seven distinct sectors, each offering different terrain, altitude and skiing styles. Below, you can view and download the individual maps of each sector.
The highest sector of the ski area, ranging from 3,600 m to 3,200 m, offers year-round snow and panoramic alpine views. This area is accessible via the Jandri lift system and provides terrain suitable for all levels.
Located between 2,600 m and 2,900 m, this is the freestyle hub of Les Deux Alpes, featuring one of the best snowparks in Europe, suitable for all levels.
The La Fée and Le Diable sectors cover a large part of the mid- to high-altitude terrain on the southern side of Les Deux Alpes. Located between 2,100 m and 2,400 m, these two sectors offer contrasting skiing experiences within the same area. La Fée is known for its quieter atmosphere and freeride terrain, offering open slopes and panoramic views. In contrast, Le Diable is one of the most challenging sectors in Les Deux Alpes, featuring steeper red and black runs that descend through varied terrain. The sector is also strategically important within the ski area, as it connects efficiently to both the glacier via the Pierre Grosse gondola and the lower parts of the resort.
At 2,100 m, Vallée Blanche offers a quieter environment and is now particularly suitable for beginners thanks to new gentle slopes.
The Belle Étoile and resort base sectors cover the lower part of Les Deux Alpes ski area around 1,650 m to 2,100 m. The Resort base (snow front) is designed for first-time skiers, with free lifts, ski schools and dedicated learning zones, making it the ideal place to start. It’s also where most ski lessons and beginner facilities are located. Above it, the Belle Étoile sector offers a natural progression, with wide green and blue runs that allow skiers to build confidence while staying close to the resort. Access is quick and efficient via multiple lifts, including the Belle Étoile and Village 1800 connections.
The Les Deux Alpes is served by a high-capacity vertical network of 40 lifts that connects the glacier, mid-mountain sectors and resort base in a single continuous vertical system. Lift types include:
The backbone of the ski area is the Jandri lift system, which provides direct access from the resort to the glacier. Recently upgraded, this high-speed connection allows skiers to reach 3,200–3,600 m in under 20 minutes, making Les Deux Alpes one of the most accessible high-altitude ski domains in the Alps.
